Thanks for the info, I figured it was Nikon quality.
I have a D40, nothing close to the D300 but still Nikon.

I own 4 flashes so the number is literally anywhere from 1 to three. I have yet to use 4 to be honest and just picked up the 4th as I am about to move my fish to an 8 foot tank. Placement and number always changes depending on what fish I'm shooting. I use flash mostly from above and seomtimes from the side or front. It's really a matter of experimentation, ore than an exact science. It's also about creating your own style. To me there's "profile" photography were you shoot a fish in profile for ID purposes and then there's photography that is more of an art form.
