As far as the tank size. I cannot answer that too thoroughly because all of my tanks are large. and for the two 10gals I have, they only have two fish in each. even my large tanks only have a max of four fish. but that's my preference because I don't like water changing. I have heard with danios and barbs is about two females to an odd number od males 3-5 is best so the females are not beat up by males trying to mate. but don't hold it against me if this is not true or accurate. i don't have schooling fish!
