A little tip to make your monster fish seem, well, more monster!

If you have a large fish in a tank, perhaps a single specimen, or a few larger fish and you want to make them pop? Add a small schooling species. Something so small it wont ever be considered lunch. like a tiny barb or tetra.

I know i've seen videos of giant black piranha kept with small tetras.

In any event, it will really underline you big fishes super size.

tried with my rhom. 10 giant danios at 4 each. not always the best idea. also tried tetras with my tilapia butti and gt. doesnt always work. my butti is okay for months on end then he will kill everything in a night. not for foos, he just mouths them and swims across the tank and lets them go. id say strong dithers are a better option for cichlids, because if they survive 10sec attack, my cichlids usually give up for a while

I'm talking GIANT fish with small schooling type fish. You know, the type that are too big or too old to care.

It really presents a nice picture when you see that combo.

And it helps if the giant fish are mostly vegetarian by nature.

Yea if I went and purchased 15 neos im positive my oscar or peacock bass would inhale them. The gar might leave them alone but not for long... lol. I was thinking of a group of silver dollars to make my "monsters" pop out tho.
