A LFS has a "big" (4") CL for sale, three inches is about the max I've seen for sale. It's 30 bucks but is a loner. Is it worth buying knowing it will be a loner in my tank for a few months. I have four 1.5-2" in a growout situation and can't put them in the main tank yet. Will this loner be OK by himself for a while? Or should I pass?

a lone loach is a sad loach so if you get it try to get it some friends quick

I concur.:)

buy it and keep it with the other loaches. a lonely loach is a sad loach....

Buy even though it is two to three times bigger than my others?
No troubles w/ the larger one bulling the smaller ones that are two to three times smaller?

In a one on one situation it's possible. But with 5 loaches together any aggression gets spread out and is generally limited to 'playfighting'.

The big one will be the boss loach for sure, but they should be fine together :)
