Ok heres my delima. In a few weeks(hopefully) my 240 gal. will be ready to bring home. Now I'm very excited about this and at the same time kinda between a rock and a hard place. My 115 gal. is running great and looks great, I have a blue acara that rules it and all is well. Now, my wife wants the 115 to become a salt water tank and the 240 will be my fresh tank. At first I liked the idea, she wanted a lionfish and of course they are beautiful so I was for it. Then as I started looking at all I would need to start up a salt water the thought seems less appealing to me. My new thought is to raise more clownknifes in the 240 and see if I can get them to grow over 30". Thanks to the two knifes I had and my buddy sypher I have a wondering lust for these fish,as odd as that seems. So what would you do? Agree to do what the ruler (wife) says or stand up for what I want and happily take the ass beating I will get for not doing it her way?

lick your palm and slap her, therefore showing your dominance in the relationship :).
Show that you wear the pants in the family. :)

Just joking of course. Seriously though, go with the saltwater tank, you won't be disappointed, and you'll still have that 240 freshwater tank.

i know how much it hurt to get rid of those 2 big beautiful clowns and i say that you keep your 115g as is and start fresh with your 240g with some new clowns... your wife will kick your butt and will do the same to me after she reads this... lol :hitting:

SLAP HER!!!! OMG!!! I wanna see my next birthday. Anyways all men where the pants its just that the women pick out which ones we wear

If I slapped my wife I'd likely get a karate kick to the head. She's a world class skater (very athletic). Use psychology, it's safe & easy. Remind her that to get the right stuff for a salt tank that big is the equivelent of 2 or 3 (or more) house payments. ;)

C'mon guys the the solution is simple, Solomon would say Buy another tank preferably 300 gallons!!!: :ROLF:
:ROLF:

either get her a tank of her own or do what you want with your tanks. If youve had them for a long time and like them so much, why would you want to give them up???

I wish i could just get my wife to like the tanks i have period,,,,if she wanted a salt water set up i'd be at the lfs tomorrow with the visa in hand,,,,,,,,get her hooked and then get more tanks !!

divorce...its the only way i see getting out of this one man...whew. thats going to suck...yea.

Or just use reasoning.
