Amazing, a month after finding a lone pearl spot chromide at a local fish shop, the wet spot got a group of 7 in, and I went and bought them all. It cost me almost 200$ but I couldn't be happier. There doing great, trying to get them onto dry food but it's only been a few days. They don't seem too interested in the Anubias or Java fern, yet, but I've read different experiences with plants and these guys. Anyway, I have a long time till there ready to breed but I'm gonna try. Here are pics

That's a good find. It's a highly seasonal fish and breeding depends on temperature cycles so try bit to use constant temps.

Thanks guys, there all doing great. With the exception of the bigger one, there only 2 inches so I don't think there ready to breed yet, but I would love to be wrong about that. They have been picking at the Java fern but haven't damaged it yet, and I'm still trying to get them to Eat flakes or pellets. I think they prefer picking at the plants. Anyway, I really love these fish,

they are already one of my favorite cichlids
