then you know how fast they are! it is tricky, this one actually started to climb a tree after we chased it away from its path to its hole. it almost made it.

they do tear up alot! all over the oil fields we were hunting on we saw "monky prints" that we all over and digging up everything.

never thought of crab bait. cool.

When I was a kid in FL, waiting at the bus stop one morning, I saw one running around. I grabbed it by the tail as it just had entered it's burrow in the ground. Once that thing dug in, there was not budging it, had to just let go.

this one tried to go into its hole, but i jumped inbetween it and the burrow. we had to do that about 10 times before it ran to a tree.

Yup. But if you come up on em real slow without makin noise you should be good. They're as blind as a bat. But man you really have to watch out for the rear claws. They will mess u up with em. As far as crab bait we usually freeze em for a few days then thaw em out, chop em up, throw them in the traps. Crabs like it cuz it stinks.

we bum rushed this one and if we were ready for it to not run we could have caught it in that instant. we were confused when it just sat there for a second. oohh yyyaa i know about them back blades! almost got me with them and it tried to pee on me. i picked it up and it started kicking. i arched away from it and tried to hold it as far away from me as i could. my friend said "you wuss, afraid its gonna scrach you?" i said "hell no! it is pissin everywere!"
