thanks, almost all my cats are on pellets now, and they are doing well too.

Is it me or are his fins (dorsal and caudal) tattered a bit in some photos? If yes, who can be the culprit? Seems like there are only Doradiids for tank mates...

you are right, I think its the jau catfish, he usually come out during feeding, and get abit aggressive when he comes near tankmates, then he retreats to corner when his belly is full. but I also notice aggressiveness on my granulosus as well, sometimes due to teritorial issue. But they dont fight to death.

Jau would be totally understandable. I have a 2'-er and a 1.5'-er and they rule any community. Never a mark on them but on most their catfish tank-mates.

Grannies aggressive to the vaillantii or to each other? Both'd be strange but interesting to know.

between granus, they usually bite each other tails/fins, they would spin around the tank and chase each other tail. I'd post the videos next time. The vaillantii sometimes became the victim, but there is nothing to worry about if the tank is big enough to house them all. I will have to move them in my outdoor pond soon or later, 420g is never enough.

Huh... so granulosus are not so indifferent to each other after all. You got 6. Is there a clear pecking order, territories? Do they still do cat-piles sometimes? Do they interact with your nigers and any others in the tank?

Sorry, wrong thread, I know. If we go on, I will transfer my questions to your thread on granulosus.

they do lay next to another, and often one is trying get a better spot in the tank. They dont attack other tankmates, but when you put numbers of them together in a species tank, fins nipping are normal, and it will heal in no time. Overall, I think they're doing fine together.
