A Mystery Fish Found

That looks suspiciously like a dried up lizard fish... I caught a ton in North Carolina

I searched up lizard fish/Synodus sp, and they look to have very fine teeth. This smashed specimen looks to have larger, gapped teeth.

I'd guess some sort of trout or salmon, there's a kype in the upper jaw, the tooth structure looks similar and the eye socket placement looks about right...

Look at the head structure of this brown trout, it's VERY similar to the smashed up "monster fish"
