a stupid question the street myth was that fish have a 3 second memory...does anyone know if this is true or not...please reply

not true many fish have been trained like oscars and fish remember their owners and great them generally
 
myth.. I've only heard it for goldfish, no others. But even with goldfish it's wrong.. mythbusters tested it..
 
It's only for goldfish and ts not true. I trained my goldfish to come up for food.

yup mythbusters tested it, i have the episode on DVD
 
NOT true...MYTHBUSTERS, on Discovery Channel, has proved the 3 second memory thing wrong....They actually averaged out the memory, from their tests, to be a little more than 45 seconds with goldfish....Goldfish, being the "basic" of all fish, has made me wonder the "intelligence" of greater fish such as cichlids....

You didnt train it to come up for food, it's natural instinct to look for food made it come to the top.

Saying that fish have 3 second memories was probably made up by the same folks who keep Pacu, RTC and an Aligator gar in a 10G.
 
Fish make very intelligant fish but rather stupid humans.... They know and learn...only what they need to survive.
