How big is it??

And what were you feeding it Jed? Anything to enhance the red?

steve its like 12-13 inch i think wesley told me yesterday....

Jed was feeding a variety of pellets and greens. Steve, its about a foot ,, havent really taken
exact measurements but its around that range.

Yup was just feeding it trout pellets but it also ate pieces of fish that were meant for my peacocks. But the best part of feeding it was throwing in a leaf of romaine lettuce. It's just fun watching it devour the leaf. He can eat 2 full leafs of Romaine lettuce but 1 leaf a day should keep him happy.

The color you see in the pics now is the stressed out beat up color, but give the fish a couple weeks his fins will turn into a deeper more intense red. His body will become a solid purplish grey and even his "whiskers" will have a redish sheen on them.

i only see them around 3-4'' around here but see them often

I only see them at very small sizes , if ever. Im so stoked i have a big boy like this.
A face only redtailfool can love.

awesome pick up Wes.. The red is so intense on that guy and those are his stressed colors? He is gonna be freakin awesome. Don't mind Li.. you know if it had a crooked back or an extra appendage he would want to buy it....

Yeah watch out for Li, Wes. he might go to your house and snap that fish' spine on purpose and call it SUPER DEFORMED RTGG!
