What is an RGF?

It's a reverse gravel filter. Meaning that the return water from the sump will enter the tank through the pipes along the floor of the tank.

it just keeps all the grud off the bottom of the tank! no gravel vacs !

that sounds pretty cool. maybe it could be used to keep the toxic gases out of sand?

Everything seems to be coming together really fast over the last few days. The epoxy is finished, the sump is done, Bulkheads are installed. Yesterday I got all the sanding finished and got the first two coats of varnish on the tank and stand. Today I'll finish the varnishing. Shooting for four coats in total.

Also made up a little jig for the drill press and drilled 1/8" holes every 3/4" on all the tubing for the RGF. I apoligize for the quality of the pic.
