Well all I did was glue all the joints in the RGF really nobody's missing anything. And I guess I did make up the pipe to connect it to the bulkhead. Also I bought silicone for the glass yesterday so I'm thinkin this weekend will be the big mess.
this is soo Bad A**. i love the shape of the tank. what kind of lights are you gonna put in there...something pretty bright seeing as you have so much glass it seems like your gonna lose quite a bit of light. and where in you house do you plan on puttin this monstrosity. its awesome. great work my friend
I'm going to put 2 48" ballasts in the tank but I have to admit I don't know too much about what bulbs are best for fish so unless you guys have a better suggestion I'm just going to get 4 of those aquarium bulbs from the Home Depot.
...And young buck if the wife and kids really love you they'll let you throw out the couch to make room for your monster.
I had to go exchange my silicone today as it appears I had bought the wrong stuff. Originally I had picked up GE 100% silicone for kitchens and baths. Apparently that one has a mildew resister in it so I exchanged it today for DAP 100% silicone for windows and doors.
I also went to the Re-store and bought the glass. $4.34 for everything I need for all 7 windows. Gotta love that place.
I was excited to get started installing the glass today but it was just too damned hot. Maybe tonight when it cools off a bit or tomorrow morning before we go to the beach.
Question about Oscars. I've been reading that 2 adults may fight but groups of three or four often get along better. Is this true?
That's great news on getting the glass installed. Less than $5 for all the glass you need awesome.
Good catch on the silicone, glad you found it now and not later!!
