A newbie says hello -- and asks a few questions!

Yeah - genuine Zebra Pups are very hard to come by. And while - Indonesian Bamboos are generally about $100-200 each, genuine Zebras are priced over $1,000 (the last ones that I've seen - which was a couple of ago).

Brenden -- gotcha! I'll give myself a slap on the hand for being impatient. =)

krj-1168, I was downright shocked when I first saw a supposed zebra being sold for one hundred forty dollars; there was no way that could be legitimate, I thought. This site didn't include a photo of the zebra pups for sale (which were identified as Stegostoma and everything), which was another obvious tip-off, and, after seeing similarly-priced animals on other retailers' sites that were actually Indo bamboos, it seems my first instincts were correct. I knew that price was too good to be true!

Definitely! :D We made this decision knowing that it was going to cost a lot of money, and that includes the price of the shark itself. My family has always owned exotic animals -- my parents currently have two genets and a black-and-white ruffed lemur -- and, knowing how expensive exotics are, I expected to have to pay a pretty penny for a zebra shark. Like you said, though: it's totally worth it!

Hmmm - lives in Central Florida ... works at a "well-known" marine park ... works with dolphins, manatees, seals & sea lions ...

Sounds like major clues to me. Why do I get the feeling it's the same Central Florida Marine Theme park - that stars a certain famous Killer Whale, as it's corporate mascot.
