a pair of rainbow cichlids

Ok i went to a lfs store and pick up a pair of rainbow cichlids. i have them in a 40 gal breeder. I am looking for tankmates to go in the 40 with them , any suggestions

for a breeding pair i'd say some barbs of some kind are you trying to get fry or just have a pair you could add some less aggressive cichlids or active catfish if you don't mind them eating your fry

i was trying to add some less aggressive cichlid with them and maybe some live bearers

I have always wanted a tank with multinspinosa and some cryptoheros species. Also, I would like to point out that multinspinosa has been moved from Herotilapia to Archocentrus. Not a big deal, just letting people know.

The yellow of the rainbows goes nicely with the blue of Honduran red points. Throw in some red dithers and you're all set!

Rams will do well. A 40 is plenty of space for them to feel comfortable. I just sold my pair. They breed alot!
