yeah im excited for the warm weather! my company just announced our summer dress code is in effect. no more ties till October! yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

we can wear polo shirts, but still have to wear slacks. jeans are a no-no. stupid banks!!!! :irked:

so, i took down my 65 gallon salt water and now i'm gonna set it back up fresh.i'm not sure what i want to put in it though.i really want discus but i had 2 and they died.i had them in with parrots and baby severums so i think they got stressed out and died.they never got picked on.at the pet store they were in a tank with lots of discus only.does anyone know if they r hard to keep?

dont know much about these guys but from what ive read theyre very delicate!

that's what i heard, sucks cause they're so pretty.it seems like there's not many different fish out there like there used to be.i remember when we first got into fish 17 years ago we used to have some really cool pleco's and cats.we had like chaka chaka, farlowellas, lion fish freshwater,it used to make a roaring sound when we would move him, raphaels, zebra plecos, some cool synodontis cats that got huge, monos, ugh i can't think of the rest right now.but we just don't see much variety anymore, just the same plain stuff...........

yeah and it sux even more when you LFS dont carry anything good! they are just a waste of commercial real estate!!!!

you can get some really beautiful coloured discus....i'd love a nice discus set-up with plants and neon tetra...just simple but beautiful...

the best advice i can give about discus is buy a reverse osmosis unit :D and they like a low ph as they have in the amazon basin around 6.0 and don't forget to add back the good minerals :D quite alot of work but i'll deffo set one up when i have my own place
