I had a HOB filter go belly up after I changed my tank to pool filter sand...

It ran probably for a day before I realized it...

Any chances of bringing it back to life...

pull out the impeller and clean it of the sand particles and the tube and where the impeller seats in the hob. then use a pre filter over the end to prevent sand from going in it again

I have HOB on all of my tanks they all have sand.

ALso raise the intake tube a bit from the bottom of the tank if you can. it will reduce sand from getting in.
