WOW, that must of been soooo cool to see!dirtyblacksocks;1660899; said:Not sure where the conversations at, but I went out to the beach with the girlfriend and kids last night and saw a school of dolphins about 20-30 feet out from shore playing with the wind surfers for the latter few hours before sun down.
Was really neat, and made our evening =)
I live like 50 yards from the sand and see them daily. They are reasonably curious but still keep their distance. Sea lions on the other hand are complete bastards and will sometimes come underneath you while your sitting on your surfboard and bump yer board. Scares the crap out of me sometimes...dirtyblacksocks;1661002; said:Not entirely sure they noticed them! The dolphins were always behind them.
They were on wakeboards using kites to drag them around, rather than the ones with the large sails on the actual board.
I think the fast movement got the dolphins curious, and so you'd see a wind surfer go by and then about 15 feet behind them the dolphins would pop up, they jumped a few times, but other than that it was pretty much just their dorsals coming out of the water.
Year round...dirtyblacksocks;1661329; said:Awesome fish for sure, are they around during the colder seasons?

Going to be a busy week!
