GarNiac;4860390; said:thanks, I was feeling abit worried for awhile, because of the water quality which I could not controlled. There are 2 outdoor ponds on my backyard, the big one and the small one. And I do have filtration system running for the bigger pond but not on the smaller pond. It takes a while for the water to clear up previously after filling.
The pond is on the open area, and it gets direct sunlight during the day.
There are tadpoles, and some platy fishes in the pond, and I am wandering if bichirs also feed on plankton in the water.
As for the smaller pond, the one with no filtration; I also put some endlis in, and it is where my endlis got huge in awhile. I occasionally supply foods in the smaller pond, but not much. The water only circulates when it rains; and when I notice a lower water level in the pond, I add more water in. I live in a tropical country, so rains are more frequent within a year.
If you also live in a tropical country, I think you could do your own pond too, and it doesn't have to be big,
I'll post pics tomorrow,
cheers

by the way im from the philippines bro.
