KILLERKOI said:A older friend from up the street just lost $10,000 worth of koi and $600 filter setup and has to start all over again with his pond. all because of his landscapers who acidently spilled a whole 15g container of gas they unloaded from their truck right next to the pond a didnt notice that they forgot to srew on the gas cap on the container properly and left it on its side so when he got home from work they were all in a hurry to go home he went to hand them the weekly check when the boss was pulling up the driveway to discuss how they were going to setal the problem but he didnt even know yet what the guy was talking about when he finaly went and see them all was floating except one that died that same night the filters were all melted on the inside he told me that he almost fainted and just yelled get out!!! i feel so bad for the guy i offerd to help rebuild as long as it take and i would donate 4-5 koi after but the poor old guy was so disgusted he just said "no its over for me im done with ponds im just gonna fill it in with dirt" and hes goin to file a complaint with the police and thats it. the pond was 26yrs old and he still had alot of the orginal koi in it from when he first started the pond![]()
what a shame i feel so bad for him and he loved that think and to make matters worse he had only one year left till he retired
and spend all day withhis pond like he planed

I can t believe the A holes didnt even try to help the fish or do something, tell the guy what happened or something. Another reason that an immigrant work program will not work. I cant believe how dishonest some peices of sh*t some people are. Sorry to hear about that. Maybe when he gets opver his depression he will rethink starting over.
