a question about livebearing fish

I know you don't want too aggressive, but check out pike livebearer!
 
I got 4 a long time ago and they seem to be tough as nails. The tank they're in probably didn't get the attention it deserves (for a month or 2) and they stuck in there. They've been very very easy to keep IME.
 
I really like halfbeaks for a setup like this, they are like miniature versions of needlefish, but with a lot of personality and quirky behavior. I used to use them in my shelldweller breeding tanks to occupy the top level, and they were a blast to watch
 
i was confused by the pike _ duh - i have two belonesox - live bearer pikes they are awsome my three year old plays fetch with his dinosaur fish - they will wait for the krill then pounce but they will eat anything live that will it in their mouths if they get hungry
