This frontosa is growing great.. has a little knick out of his top fin but otherwise pretty awesome and healthy.. however i just zoomed in on his stripes.. he seems to have one thick stripe that separates a little almost like it was meant to be another stripe.. should i concider him a 6 stripe or a 7 stripe.. Or just a 6 stripe with a little defect?? Does he look like a male..because he is growing far faster then all the rest..i was thinking he could be the alpha male..:)

Some of my younger frontosa have got stripes like that, but i'm not sure.
I do not think it is a big deal but just would like some info from frontosa experts.just to see what they think...:)

If you are talking about the thrid strip and how it Vs at the top, I find that to be normal on burndi. Its one way that I can tell if it is a burndi
well thank you.. that is what i meant and that is good info.. thanks again

Not sure about the different locality specific fish but my Mpimbwe fronts have that.

Here you can see it on a male and one of the females
