Hey Neo and those who really know about fish, do you think its ok or safe for me to feed my Oscars Frogs? I think i saw a pic of an Oscar eating a frog in here, so I was woundering if it wouldnt be harmfull to mines. I notice that Oscars will eat anything that can fit in their mouths however dont frogs release a liquid from their backs wen they get mad? if it so, wouldnt that be harmfull for the oscars?
I would appreciate some feed back.
TANX FOR YOUR TIME!

i dont think is such a hott idea frogs especily wild ones thats a bad idea cause they can come in contact with harsh cempicals and your oscar could possibly choke on the bones or even choke on the whole thing

i have personally fed oscars baby tree frogs many times. great source of protein and my oscars loved em. if your oscar is big enough and accustomed to eating live foods the frog should be a tasty treat!!!!

Quarentine the frogs for a couple weeks prior. Keep them in a small tank and load them up on crickets. They are a great food source for any fish that can eat them. I've seen pics of guys feeding chili reds frogs and lizards. Do you think they would risk it with such high dollar fish?

noe dont know anything.

i fed my oscars everything

from table meat..to mice

GO FOR IT

hes talking about a pic in the galery of a huge bull frog being eaten by a oscar
you have no pics in there :(

Be careful where you get your frogs. If they come from healthy water then they should be ok IMO, I have used them often. Frogs from temperate climates, with smooth skin and no large glands behind the tympanum should be fine. Toads often have poison glands and some types can kill predators. Just be sure of the species that you are using as feeders. Cricket frogs, chorus frogs, reed frogs, leopard and red leg frogs, all make good feeders as do bullfrogs if your fish is big enough. Fowler and california toads can kill some fish.

You could always lick them and get a gr8 buzz!
:yuck:
