A question to all of you who keep large stingrays

my 24" female Marble took down a 14" gar.... she ripped the head off of it, left the rest of the body....

may not be able to eat and swallow a 12" fish, but it could most definitely kill that size fish easily.

If you've ever watched a ray eat live food, they kill it by smothering it. I also know of several cases in Asia where 20"+ aro's have been taken down by a stinger through the head.
