been there done that at a lfs I worked at part time and my basement and at different jobs I was at... my favorite was a job I did upstate for a friend the guys basement had almost 4 feet of water... your store should dig in a few sump pits just for preventative measures now
The LFS i worked at has been open for 15 years.
It's a little store.
They've had floods like that so many times that there is a permanent water line going around the entire store about 7" up the wall.
From leaving the hose on while filling up sumps etc.
In fact. My second day on the job, i spent half the day using the wet vac to clean up a flood that soaked a bunch of tanks that were being store on the floor. There was a new pump that wasnt installed correctly and was spewing water all night.
The first thing on the morning check list was:
"Look for Floods"
The is one huge store so the amount of water and area to mop and dry up is mind boggling..good thing no electrical problems due to it.. all plugs etc high off the ground.. nice store though
Man I like the idea of the slip and slid in theory. Until I think of sliding down the aisles then like sliding over a dust bunny filled with dog food. Yuck.
