OK, so no one has one at home...I have been proached several times by owners of LFS, or people on posting boards, here is my thought, if I am to pay big $$$ for a fish, I want to be able to select it from the best sources, and not get some culled fish that came in illegally into the country...who do you complain to if the fish is not up to par?
Silvers and Jardinid do it for me, and an occasional black here and there can add to the mix, I would love to be able to purchase reds, maybe some day...

just dOnt buy it if its not healthy. its easier to get them if you are asian. espescially if you have a restaurant. chances are, the guy that put in the tanks for the lobster and live fish, have access to good stuff.

I would freak out if I saw an asian red in any restaurant. Especially if it was in a tiny tank like most situations here fish are cramped. In that case, like on another thread, I would arrange a restaurant-fish rescue Delta Force style

I guess hobbyist should be happy to be able to see these rare fishes in the states. It may be illegal but that is for the relevent agencies to deal with.
