I guess you could but its not the easiest and fastest way of removing a fish from a tank. In other words, whats the point?

I think he's thinking a lazy mans fishing.. perhaps a sport for people afraid of the outside..

I wouldn't ever do it. But I've heard of other people doing it and boy did they get a reaming from the 9,000 other forum members who thought it was dumb..

I did once, I did not want to remove 200lbs of rock to get Him. So I thought I'd be nice and push the barb down on the hook. Well He broke the line and threw the hook LOL.

lol... that means your a bad fisherman if your line snaped in your tank.. .. keep a nice even tension and dont hurt the fish to much or itll cause em to kick...

I havent done it, but I read a story about a guy who did in his reeftank. He didnt want to tear it apart to catch a little damsel so he flattened the hook and went at it. He caught it too
