I have a cousin that thinks he knows what he's talking about with fish, but it's like fingernails on a blackboard hearing how he pronounces plecostomus. And he's the kind of person that thinks I am a beginner compared to him because he's kept fish badly for many more years than I've kept them well.

My parents used to talk and talk and talk about how much they enjoyed their fishtank when they were early married (had an aquarium instead of a TV for many years) and all the fish they kept and how wonderful it all was an so on. I recently discovered that the largest tank they had was a 29 gallon tank that was so horribly overcrowded I had to have a little sit-down with my dad. LOL

My wife's aunt has a 75gal African cichlid tank, but I wouldn't say she's addicted.

closest person to me that keeps fish is my best friend.... It's his 125g, but he has my filters, powerhead, heaters, and fish and I also do most of the up keep on it.

oh and my cousin had a 90g with 2 oscar's that spawned after he dropped and broke his ac110 and refused to buy another stopped doing waterchanges for 6 months and now the fish are dead....hmmmm I wonder why...

My mom got 2 flower horns and 1 green aro. She loves fish keeping. She got better stock than i do.

I always kept goldfish when I was young.. I was terrified of the "Heater" since all I had ever heard was horror stories about them breaking and killing everything... But My dad got me REALLY into Fishkeeping.. His friend had a 55 Gallon with some Oscars who had gotten sick of them.. and he gave me the tank for FREE!!! One of the Oscars ended up getting HITH and the other we gave to someone with a much larger tank.. and It was LOVE from there........ Now I want a 400 gallon or more!!!
