That stinks, sorry to hear that. Such a nice GT too. I hate losing fish, I always feel like I did something wrong and I beat myself up for days over it.

I am still wondering what happened. The rest of my fish are doing just fine.

sorry for the loss that GT had great potentıal! we have all been there wıth the unexplaıned deaths, ı spent ages thıs mornıng lookıng for a bıg enough plastıc bag to put a dead 2'+ koı ın!

Yeah, always so tough because there are so many questions. On the plus side though at least if everyone else is healthy it means you're doing a good job overall. To me the worst is when a death or deaths can be clearly traced to a mistake I made, like when the fish in my avatar died. On the flip side, sometimes I am actually relieved when a fish dies of natural old age. It means I did a good job and the fish had a good life. But yeah, the ones that just go suddenly without clues are real head scratchers. At least the other ones are OK.
 
Again thanks for all the kind words. I am still grieving for this fish too. My tank is just not the same. Hopefully my other saum will help fill the void.
