I don't necessarily want them to be on CITES for selfish reasons and the sake of those keeping ;-) But, I'd like the rationale be applied to the Asian Aro so that we can keep in the US. Last I checked, farm raised isn't an issue. Perhaps the wide popularity and releasing to the wild is the fear? But have not read any logical explanations.
Denisonni barbs are bred in farms now? Thought they were all wild caught. They are endemic to a small area in my state. We hardly get to see them here as they are all sent straight for exports. And our export laws are also pretty weak when it comes to fishes.
