A silver in a 125 long

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you are looking for a fish for life a jar would work...if you want a silver or 2 thenit would work for a year maybe 2 if you are lucky...mine was 24"+ in my 180gal witch has the same foot print that you tank has and it was ok...it was 10months old...

yea invest in a jar.. 24" max... so you'll have some time before you upgrade or sell the fish.

look at the foot print of the tank, not just that it is a 125gal...the foot print is 72"x24"...thats is the same as a 180gal...witch is the life min for a jar so he wouldn't need to sell or upgrade though a bigger tank would be nice though not nessisary...

IMO your tank, though it has the minimum foot print, is far too shallow to house a arowana that is 24" long. I would go with some polys for your tank.

yes, i agree that is is alittle shallow...but if his heart is set on an aro it would work...with out tring to have it in a smaller foot print...17" is enough to give the full size aro 6-7" belly clearence...
