Usually it's because they are Juvie rays and have quite the appetite. It's hard to keep weight on them, even after we medicate for internal parasites. Unfortunetly we haven't had an isolated tank for the Blue, because of the preparation of the current import. The transparency isn't due to them being skinny, however.. We get juvie rays the same size, with the same problems and they show no fading. It also really depends on mood and surroundings.. I noticed Rays will fade to different shades depending on what substrate they are on, and how much lighting they are getting.

After re-reading your statement, are you talking about the ray alongside the blue? Because that is suppose to be that way..
