Thank you! my camera is a canon rebel XT i bought it used for 275 on craiglist with a kit lens. then a bought a 1.8 50mm prime lens for 100 dollars. So 1000 will really get you the top of line dslr! haha I took a summer class too so that helped out for my shots haha.

I bought a cheap used one so i can learn the basics and buy a bigger body in the future.

okay... i did spend 1k and got a new nikon -_- ... and i do have a similar lense as urs 50mm f/1.8 ... but i aint gettin the same shots as urs xD even with a sb600 flash.... my photos r so much less sharp xD

Hmm you may have a problem of focusing - then again with that fast lens you shouldn't have any blurry problems and with that flash. I think the settings are just not matching up with each other. Or like i said it may be the AF points not matching up to your subject(s)

What do you have your camera on usually when you take shots?
I suggest putting it on "P" Its basically automatic but you can take control of the camera if you don't already use it.

The 50mm 1.8 Nikkor is a fine lens. Maybe there's something wrong with yours. I used to have one and it was quite sharp in the center at the maximum aperture and by 4.5 became tack sharp.

Very nice shots! You ovbiously have an eye for the art and understand what the camera can do I presume most of the shots are with the 50mm, I love the primes!

Actually I just recenty got my 50mm prime, i think the only ones shots with the 50mm was the first 2 pictures. All the rest are kit lens

Well a new patch came out last week and im hooked up again but not so much. I don't raid anyone on there, just log on casually and run instances haha. Anyways, thank you!
