Thanks guys. He measures somewhere in the neighborhood is 10". It was fed live at the store, so I'm crossing my fingers that it takes to shrimp and prepared foods easily.

Not that great a store in terms of fish. Every once in a while they have something worth while. I debated picking up a school of Hampala Barbs @$25 per 5" fish. Not too shabby a deal if you ask me.
Next up for me...hopefully some dats or ray.

Nice gar. Try him on frozen shrimp first. Have two, starved one for days and it wouldn't eat pellets, other one would(thanks dougefresh for starting him). Then fed shrimp and the one that wouldn't eat any prepared food ate shrimp right away. HTH..
Love mine btw. Spook easy but great fish and usually won't harm larger fish.
