a tank for my dorm room

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In my freshman dorm, two of the guys had a 75gal on the desk with two Oscars, and a bunch of 2.5 gal tanks full of guppies underneath. On the dry-erase board on their door they would post the schedule for the nightly guppy sacrifice. They had a lot of friends who would hang out just to watch the fish for a while.

no "mobile" what?

Dario dario. World's smallest perciform at 0.75" maximum length. They're gorgeous too! A single male can be kept in a 3 gallon tank very comfortably, but they only take live food.

the rule says nothing about plants? what about having planted tank instead? just a planted pico or nano would just be fine

some colleges do permit fish- just a small bowl or less than certain gallon as mine did allow fish tanks in the dorms.

My daughter had a 10G tank in her dorm; it drew a lot of attention from the other ladies in her suite.

Her showcase fish was a beta named Gladiator with an appropriate coliseum theme tank.

She also had a small Bala Shark; named Beef Jerky by her roommate. Beef outgrew the tank going into her Sophomore year. He is now in a 150G and is ~8" long.

i kept a 75 gallon under my bed water changes were a pain. But I had it set so I could turn the tank off when there were "checks". I put a suitcase in front of it so it looked like nothing was there idn how your room setup is but anything is possible if not prolly a 10 gallon with white clouds and maybe some rummy noses

how about a tank in the closet? cover it with clothes when the inspector comes.
