And that is all that matters. If you like them, then don't let anyone prove you different. I personally would trade a xingu for a good looking mono any day.

The pure breeds r nice too but they also look awesome and then you can catch babies in Miami and sell them as wild caught can't wait to see my orinos grow!!!

I would also like to thank the original cichla keepers as well. The late, great R1, jcardona1, Brian Scott, mark, sheicii Hamada, ash David, DM, Da Amazon Don, juniorM, Boosten....um there are a lot of cichla cats that paved the road for me. Oh Wes and Jeff for bring in rare cichla for us cichla heads in enjoyment.

Thank you younger generation and future cichla keepers for keeping a dieing hobby alive.

Like Pete said, if it weren't for the OGs. None of us would be where we are in the hobby today. If I have anything to say is... Let it inspire you and open many doors to fish keeping and once you've done it for a while... spread the knowledge and love to those who were in a the same shoes as you. That way some day years down the road people will talk about how they were inspired...

Gotta say thanks too Diesel Mack, R1, jcardona1, SuperLaz, Caesar, Hulon, Ken, sidokter and many others not mentioned who put up with many questions over the years from so many people.

Again I would like to say thank you to all the cichla elders! Wish to have tanks like yours guys soon

You're just going to have to wait and the best thing you can do for the time being is figure out a place you could work, because the more you get into cichla the more expensive it gets. Ask anyone of these guys they will tell you how much they spend on fish alone will blow your mind.

Thanks lil buddy! You show the dedication it takes to be a good cichla & future Monster Fish keeper. Keep up the good work and you'll see your juvenile peacock bass explode into impressive mature adults... You think you’re hooked now on cichla...wait till they grow into Monster power houses swimming around in your tanks...That's when you'll see what all the rave is really about.
