A transparent patch on Flowerhorn tail fin-What disease is it ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think I may be overfeeding my fish. Feed him 30 mini hikari pellets twice a day and 10 pellets of chingmix sp 100 pro. May be too much food for a 3.5 inch fish though he eats it all in under 2 mins.

Also, what could have caused these transparent patches that seem to be spreading to his other fins too ?

The transparency on the fins are probably just part of the fading process the fish is going through.

High nitrates is typically in an indicator that you're not removing enough water during water changes and/or not enough frequency.

Ok. I'll test aquarium water prior to water change and after changing to see if what I do on a weekly basis is enough or if I should be doing more.
