How unfair :( we dont have any of these fishes herre T_T and the pricing sooooooooo cheap

Yeah well, Ozland being Ozland. When i was there, i could only afford one goldfish (no joke). I had it for five years while i was in uni. I am sure all of the above fishes are available in australia - just for ridiculous prices

Damn, i knew Thailand would be a lot cheaper than Hong Kong to buy fish, but never would have thought it was that much cheaper... i'm seriously jealous... hahahaha

Seriously, wait till you see prices in Bangkok. The LFS i frequent is in the country side of Thailand. Chatuchak in Bangkok is the place for aquaria.

Arapaima are expensive here. About 800 dollars a piece, and that was when they were available. RTC are cheaper, but still about 250-300, hybrids, well thats if you can find any!

The turtles look like alligator snapping turtles.

Whatever turtle it is, i am not allowed to keep it. Bad luck.

Even at 800 AUD for a paimas, it is a rip-off. I saw in Bangkok arapaima for approx. 30 bucks. On the border LFS, it is 2000 THB (or 60 bucks) - so definitely not from Amazon ... locally bred i recon

My neighbor was complaining that he is looking for a non-sterile paimas (the myth is that they are sterlized prior to sale with hormones like tilapia) .... he is waiting for them to breed. He got five since quite some time but no babies -* they are positively huge (i am bursting with envy)

2000 THB for a piece. 1 USD = approx. 35THB

They are not that rare over in Thailand. I believe they breed them in Thailand in ponds and all that

over 50USD a piece???????:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:
mind shipping me...a FEW????:D

I must go to Thailand....
