beautiful spider!

i rly want a T, but I have too much going on w/ my fish right now. As soon as I get the time and money, i'm planning on getting something. I was thinking about starting off w/ a curly hair. I still need to do a lot more research, though.

Nice avic.
My first ever tarantula was an avic, she helped me get over my arachnobia. She was always a docile little thing. Never reared up, shed hairs, not anything. Tbh she never really got skittish or spooked either.

Avics rock :P

At first I didn't want the curly hair but we picked one up and i have to say she is one that I don't mind handling. It's also one that I'll let kids hold when we do a spider show. Really they don't take much time. The set up is fairly cheap and all you really have to do after it is set up is provide food once a week and make sure they have water. I definitely suggest doing your research. They are great forums out there that are just for tarantulas and a great book to get is "The Tarantula keepers" book.

At work this customers would come in a buy crickets for his tarantulas. I told him that my husbanded wanted to get one. He brought a versi in and I came home telling my husband about them. Finally I let him get one, a G.rosea. I figured ones not that bad. Then he joined and Invert Club and she was a freebie that my husband. Of course she was just a little thing. I think that was the first spider that I had handled. I love avics. I can't wait until my A. purpurea are bigger. One of these days I want to get a A. geraldi.

Thanks, I thought about getting an adult female, but I'm not sure I want to pay $125 for it. I think that it is going to molt soon so I'm sure the abdomen will become even more pink.
