A VERY SAD DAY FOR ME

Hi. Soo sorry you lost all your fish.
I have power outages up here in the Georgia woods all the time.
While you may not be able to afford a generator or backup system,I have found that keeping battery operated air pumps are a big help and they are cheap altho you go thru a lot of batteries. I don't know your stock but next time you might be able to save some of your fish using those. You could place your most prized ones in a tank with the air pumps and maybe save those. 4 Days is a long time tho.. do you think they died because of lack or oxygen or heat loss?? If O2 the pumps might have helped. If heat loss then some sort of battery operated/gas operated generator or something might be something to look into. I know there are other systems out there that the computer guys use also.
Again sorry it had to happen but... maybe now you can get something you always wanted but didn't have room for before. Keep smiling.. Sue

Bad news.... Sorry about your loss. Natural disasters suck. Excited about your rebuild though, keep us posted.
Thanks everyone! I believe it was to cold. I travel for a living and was away for 5 days, when i returned home yesterday the power was on and the water in the tanks were only at 70F. I had dovii,grammodes,yellow heads,istlanum,red tiger motas,wild festae pair, black belt,synspillum,zonatum,cubans,and a cat and pleco for every tank.
sorry to hear that man i'm sure you'll come back better than ever if you were located where i'm at i would have given you something to start over with.good luck with the recovery.
