A "What if" thread aka another Purigen ?

"Purigen™ controls ammonia, nitrites and nitrates by removing nitrogenous organic waste that would otherwise release these harmful compounds. Purigen’s™ impact on trace elements is minimal. It significantly raises redox. It "

So if I read you right Purigen or Carbon it does the same job?[/quote]

Yep, yep, right, right, for the most part. I've used Purigen for a while now (bout 2 yr.'s) & would say it soilidly out performs any carbon product hands dwn, (that's just me, for the record not willing to debate it, not everyone agrees). I just don't ever regard either as an accptable control for any ammonia, nitrites or nitrates levels. Just keeps me honest doing my water changes/filter maintainance etc. & not assuming anything else will substitute in the control these build ups, no slacking allowed here, LOL.

Carbon seems to remove more of my trace elems. also so that's why I settled w/ Purigen, again that's me & my set ups.

So here you are & there you go, thats my .2 :) :) :)

Cheer mate
