I always feel bad about fish dying in shipping for this reason. At least in a tank they're somewhat "comfortable" and not having their senses deprived.

Even if they make it to the tank, it kind of always makes me feel a bit guilty when wild caught fish die

Without incriminating yourself, how legal is it to catch fish and keep them in tanks in NSW?
Down here in Vic i think you arent really allowed for most species

So far the fish is still pale, but has gained further colouration.
I offered half a bait prawn, and we got a hit, so at least he's eaten.

I would take pics, but don't have a phone at the moment. Old one just stopped working about a week ago

I remember when I was a child, I left to go somewhere with someone, and I came back and my largest Silver Dollar was stuck upside down in a real rock ornament with a opening in the middle. Sucks. But that’s awesome he’s okay.
