I really like your aquascaping, Nice rockwork.

Z Trip, did you steal one of favourite D.JS name? Thats my problem in Glasgow the walls have horse and lime hair plaster and getting a fitting is a knightmare. So you can laugh all you want sunshine!

I'm selling the light and building a hood, whilst i'm doing that i'll be fixing in LED spots and the plants will be coming out. Thanks for praise on the aquascaping i did'nt think it was that great. I'm about to get some 4ft lengths of Oak branches and then spread the rocks out and use the wood to cover any pipes, etc.

Thanks for your comments.

Krawnik, i'll be getting some black backing or maybe 3d rock work backing. Or do you think paint is really the way forward?

I like the black painted back because it's simple, clean, and looks sharp imo.

I've also been running my tanks barebottom for a while now. What I do is use textured spray paint that looks like gravel on the outside bottom of the tank. It looks like gravel, without the gravel. Again - clean, simple, and looks sharp imo.

I've made custom backgrounds out of foam and epoxy in the past as well as rock walls etc etc etc, and as awesome as they looked, they weren't worth the extra cleaning maintenance over the long haul. Again, just my opinion.

I went with the 3D rock backing when I did mine, £80 and a lot of swearing later I wish I had just painted the back of the tank!
