I know that fixing the filter was more important, and the powerhead is not necessary, but I would please like to know any one's opinions and/or experiences with fixing powerheads.
I break them down as best I can and clean them but I have had them fail from sand. I was always able to clean them out but I only use maxi jets never had a problem unrelated to sand
you dont need to take out any screws... the bottom should twist off and that will allow you to access the impeller.. then just flush them out in the sink...
