I've seen plenty of barred midas with red finns they come in several varients

Not a uro body shape is all wrong and they don't get stripes like that the only time there stripes show is when there pissed of and there tail spot is much larger you have some type of barred midas my friend

Agreed, we have a tank full of 5"+ ones where I work that look JUST LIKE yours, stripes, red fins and that blotchy tail spot.

I have a Festae and have had Mayans........from the pictures at least, looks nothing like either.

Hybrid of some sort. How bout a pic a the Lyonsi? From what i can see in the pic it doesn't look like a Lyonsi, could just be the pic though

if the lfs was really reputable, and he admitted he's only 95% sure it was a festae, he should take it back. if not for a refund, at least for credit toward a new fish or some food...

not festae. not uro. that fish is definately a midas. sorry man. you should get your money back if its not what you wanted.

if they were a reputable place, they should be able to tell the difference...
