It would benefit everyone involved here to keep them separate at all time except for breeding.
If they did actually lock up there is a chance that you will have an accidental breeding on your hands and young female boas can have just as many complications as pythons. Snakes do not breed just for the hell of it and if the female was not ready she would not have allowed the male to breed her. Separate them immediately and keep a very close eye on your female. if you notice anything out of the usual you should probably schedule a vet visit and see if an ultrasound is needed. If she is pregnant and you wait to long to find out and see if there will be any complications it could cause the death of your boa.
She may be fine and not even able to develop follicles yet but it is always better to be on the safe side.....
