AARTC gowth rate??...

I have had mine for about 3 weeks,he eats like a cow but hasnt really put much size on,do they grow as fast as RTC's.Mine is in motion non stop could this be stopping him from growing(burning off everything he eats.)Got any pic's of yours??Thanks

I have an ARTC for the past 6 months, altough it eats, still it did not grow much, it seems to be more interested in fighting with the oscar, both of which are not longer than 10cm. Dont know what to do to increase its growth rate, even though i give it floating and sinking pellets which it eats and prawns.....

I heard they are real slow growers. I just hope the bigger tsn doesn't get hungry and eat him as a snack..

I am more worried about my RTC's eating him.Actually he seems to be chilling out a little hanging out with the big boys,i think i'm gonna keep him in thier tank.

they grow very very slow
mine is 8 months old
during the above mentioned period he grew from 2" to 7.5"
very very picky eater
and very rarely come out of his hiding place

its character is not going to change as it grows
but its aggression and its capabilities to kill will surely grow

This guy is out in the open most of the time,and he really does eat like a pig(earthworms are his favorite).
