I found a 5" aba aba knife and I sould have it in four days is there anybody that could tell me what will be the best food to start feeding? I'll post some pics when I get it. thanks for any info this sould be a fun fish to have.

yeah when it gets big, invite people you dont like over and then push them in the tank...

They're a cool species but, watch them carefully. These guys will bite the hand that feeds them. This species needs a tank to itself since it'll start destroying tankmates once it surpasses about a foot.

have lot of blackworms for it available, preferrably in a bare bottom tank. Also, don't make the water too deep, maybe 10 inches for now, because it makes it easier for the fish to breathe air.Cut very small pieces of beefheart, diced, so that it can work out it's jaws so that when it gets big, it will have a sgtrong bite to rip your fingers off (j/k), but the beefheart works and my abas loves it. Growth rate at that size is prety fast until it reaches about 6 inches, and then it grows slow. post pics when you have them ready

I can't find the forum that specializes on Knife Fishies. I'll keep looking.

In addition, they take a long time to grow big, so you have plenty of time to enjoy the fish, until it starts to take off some fingers, yours or your "bestest friend"
