what is the typical lifespan for an ABA ABA KNIFE? Saw one more than 2ft but its already 5 yrs old according to the owner. is this a good deal? my 1st post here...

If it is already 2' long that is a great deal. Normally you have to grow them out, and it can take a long time. That sounds about right, although it maybe a little stunted.

I'd imagine they live as long or longer than most knife fish. I've known someone who had a BGK for more than 20 yrs!

on its 2nd day, noticed some skin abrasion on its body and the dorsal fins and lateral fins, the aba has not been eating the amount it has been eating in its tank before i bought it. he has not been moving around the 200 gallon tank i placed him in and just stays near the aerator area except when surfacing for air. the LFS i bought it from said that it could be stress. they advised me in putting furan gold, methylene blue, vitamins and anti chlorine and tetracycline ... i also placed several feeders in the tank but he has not been eating them... SOS ANY ADVICE?

Ew feeders.. lol
well he is prbably stressed and all that. A fish wont starve themselves for too long if food is given atleast to the knowledge that i am aware of.

Any tankmates?

none. just the 12 feeders i left there for his consumption... should i remove them also? i'm away for 3 days and i thought of just leaving them for the aba... meanwhile i asked somebody to just put in the tetracycline while im away... tnx for the help...
