I heard its the most aggressive one among other knifefish. Can I still keep them together with my bichirs?I already have CK in the tank with few bichirs and they are doing well. I am thinking of getting aba2knifefish too, its only 10 dollars for 4", wot do you guys think?other option would be putting the aba2knifefish together with my freshwater dolphin (Mormyrid tapris)in a 50g tank, since they are still small, could this be OK too? Does knifefish jump?
To those who already hv CK or aba2knifefish, could they be trained to eat pellets?
thanks

When it comes to fish, there will always be some luck where someone will be able to keep some of the most aggressive fish with tank mates. However, being that it's a crap shoot, I wouldn't recommend it. I myself have resisted buying an Aba Aba and a Jardini for their reputation. If you really want it, just be prepared for their size and aggression. Have a spare tank on hand. That's my suggestion.

very tru, i bet size will be a big factor aswell. as it gets bigger it will probuly eat every damn thing it can catch.

They do get very aggressive when larger. And when it reaches 4' or more, its going to be alomst impossible to house it with anything that it would be aggressive towards. They will jump, so make sure the tank is covered. I don't think it would do well with the freshwater dolphin, becuase they are not as aggressive.

The only only thing that you should be worried about is that they don't like intruders. That means, when you're cleaning the tank and try to put your hand inside the tank, it will try to attacked your hand or the python.

there also, NOT knife fish, there mormyrids
